Aravalli Creek-4 Restoration Project

The Aravalli Creek-4 Restoration Project is a pioneering urban ecological initiative by IamGurgaon, focused on revitalizing a 3.5 km stretch (approximately 55 acres) of degraded creek across Sectors 55, 56, and 57 in Gurugram.

This comprehensive restoration effort transforms a sewage-laden channel into a thriving urban forest trail and green mobility corridor. The project integrates sustainable stormwater management with groundwater recharge systems, native Aravalli species plantation for biodiversity restoration, and circular economy principles through extensive reuse of construction debris (95% waste materials utilized).

By creating dedicated walking and cycling trails, community spaces, and implementing nature-based solutions, the initiative not only addresses critical environmental challenges like flooding and pollution but also enhances quality of life for surrounding communities, serving as a replicable model for sustainable urban ecosystem restoration
